I have been working all morning trying to improve the appearance of this site. This year I am hoping to dedicate more time to it, and to letting my friends (and anyone who enjoys my art) get to know more about me and my creative process throughout. Unfortunately, my laptop is getting older, and keeps crashing whenever I start working on my site. This morning, I revised my "about" page, and got a bit carried away. It's hard to know when to quit praddling on. So here's a bit more "Fox" background, if you care to read further:
Fox is a nickname given to me from when I was in high school. It was an inside joke with a friend of mine, who teased me that I reminded her of a guitar solo. It also partially had to do with the Movie Wayne's World and the "Foxy Lady" scene, which I loved. This friend started introducing me to others by that name, and it soon became that some people knew me more through that name than my own. I use it now as my art name. The "Detroit" part was added only when social media platforms insisted upon my needing to add a last name. My real last name incidentally is also an animal name and sounds way too......"cool" with my nickname...so...here we are!

Here's a bit about moi that I omitted from my About Me page, and I'll just leave it in third person to be extra fancy:
Growing up in the Metro Detroit area, Fox immersed herself in art and music culture early on, playing in Detroit bands intermittently since the age of 15. She spent much of her professional life working as a hairdresser, before pursuing a BFA degree from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, completing some studio credits in Florence, Italy at SACI. While in art school, Fox focused on drawing and animation, ultimately producing a short animated film as her senior thesis project. Following art school, Fox worked as a freelance graphic designer for several years while caring for her family and gradually developing Sheer Art Attack.
Back to first person narrative: I will end this first blog post now, (computer keeps flaking out) but will be sure to continue with future posts. Thanks so much for reading!
